FAQs

Are there funds available in 2009/10?

There are limited funds available this financial year for the community investment program. We welcome enquiries about sponsorship and funding so please don't hesitate to contact us and discuss on 9274 6833.

How often are applications considered?

Applications are generally considered all year round, with the Board meeting monthly to review any applications for that month.  We advise people considering applications to contact us to ensure that there are funds left for that financial year and discuss their ideas with Allison I'Dell, Corporate Manager.

Do we need to be a banking customer of the Mundaring Community Bank®?

You might like to consider whether Bendigo Bank can offer you a comparable or better banking product as part of your project planning.  We do accept applications from those who do not bank with Bendigo Bank, however, we prefer to provide support to our local community customers first, as they are the ones who support the business to generate the profits that we share.

Can individuals apply for funding and sponsorship?

Generally no. We do make some exceptions and welcome inquiries.

What if I have applied to other funding agencies for assistance and been knocked back?

You can still apply for our support as long as you clearly tell us about your project and why applications were not successful.

How do we acknowledge your support if you fund our project?

Once your application is approved by the Board, you will be asked to sign an agreement with us and we will outline our expectations of acknowledgement and promotion of our sponsorship in that document. This is based on how you propose to promote our support in your application.

How do you monitor funds and sponsorships?

We have a program of regular audits and evaluations of our projects, where we meet with you as you progress the project to see how you are travelling, how the marketing and promotion is going, and how the funds are being used. This is based on your original application and the signed agreement. It also provides you with an opportunity to give us feedback on the system and what we might do to improve the sponsorship and the process.
